We’re half way through The Open and scoring has been tough, with plenty of popular picks missing the cut! This has resulted in a record cut, with 87.5% of players now out of the competition. Only 174 players remain in the hunt for £12,500 prize pot!
Shane Lowry leads the way by two shots from Justin Rose and Daniel Brown. With scoring proving hard, one good round will have a huge impact on the leaderboard.
Anthony who lead the way after Round 1 has dropped to -1 and we currently have a four way tie at the top of the LMS leaderboard.
With 1,216 people being cut at the half way, some very popular players missed the cut such as Rory McIlroy (326), Ludvig Aberg (233), Tommy Fleetwood (205), Wyndham Clark (139), Sahith Theegala (131), Tony Finau (114), Tyrrell Hatton (107), Bryson DeChambeau (103), Tom Kim (100) and Akshay Bhatia (96).
As a result of the cut, 174 remain in the hunt for the £12,500 prize pot.
