We’re past halfway in our LMS season and in the three competitions we’ve run, we’ve given away an incredible £23,000!
Our next competition is the US Open and it starts this Thursday, 15th June 2023. We’re trialling launching the competition slightly later in the hope that we should have the majority of the players on our list for this tournament. It does mean though it’s a much quicker turn around so get your entries in before the deadline!
Last year we managed 353 entries (before withdrawals, 315 after withdrawals) for the US Open. We would usually say that we are aiming for more than last year’s competition however after having 1,200 entries for The Masters and 818 entries for the PGA, we are aiming for 750+ entries this time around to try and replicate the PGA.
Sean McNamara won the £2,850 prize pot last year with a score of -8 after selecting Will Zalatoris (-5), Rory McIlroy (-2) and Denny McCarthy (-1).
Please help to spread the word about LMS by sending the website onto your mates and sharing our various social media posts.
As usual, we will be running another free entry competition for this tournament, to enter simply follow us on Twitter, like and RT the following tweet.

The winner will be announced at 5pm on Wednesday 14th June, giving the winner 3 hours to select their picks.
How Last Man Standing Works
Pick 3 golfers from our US Open – Golfers & Odds with combined odds of 150/1+ (must be from this list – the odds have been taken from Bet365 on 11/06/2023):
E.g. Jack Nicklaus 15/1
Gary Player 40/1
Erling Haaland 100/1
The lowest combined score wins i.e. if all 3 golfers finish on -10 your overall score would be -30. However if one of your golfers misses the cut, you’re out! Almost 70% of the entries missed the cut in the 2023 The Masters LMS!
If the scores are tied at the end of Round 4, it will then be based on your lowest individual golfer.
E.g. if my golfers had the score -30 (-10, -10, -10) and Joe Bloggs had -30 (-15, -10, -5), Joe Bloggs would win as -15 would beat -10.
If both have the same lowest individual scorer, it would go to the 2nd lowest golfers etc.
Obviously if all 3 golfers have the same score, the pot will be split. We have only had three split pots since starting Last Man Standing in 2018. These were at The Players Championship in 2022 and 2023, in addition to The Masters LMS where we had a 5 way split!
If, for example, 3 people all finish tied in 1st place, the entire prize pot will be split equally between them i.e. 1st, 2nd and 3rd (100% of the prize pot) similarly to how ties in the actual competitions works.
