Thank you to everyone who entered PGA Championship Last Man Standing, it was a fantastic tournament with the leader changing place almost by the hole! It was our biggest pot (£3,000) for that tournament and we continue to grow with each tournament.

LIV golf seems to be getting all the headlines at the moment as golfers make the jump for huge appearance fee money (only slightly more than our LMS pots!).

The US Open is next up on the list of majors with the 1st Round teeing off Thursday 16th June. Last year we managed 157 entries for the US Open where Sarah Cathcart pocketed a tidy £1,570. We are hoping for another big turnout similar to the PGA Championships last month where we had 328 entries (before withdrawals)

World number 1 Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy lead the way with the bookies with them both on 12/1.  Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas aren’t far behind on 14/1 and 16/1 respectively.

How Last Man Standing Works

Pick 3 golfers from our US Open entrants page with combined odds of 150/1+ (must be from this list – the odds have been taken from Bet365 on 08/06/2022):

E.g. Jack Nicklaus 70/1
       Tiger Woods 50/1
       A P McCoy 45/1

The lowest combined score wins i.e. if all 3 golfers finish on -10 your overall score would be -30.  However if one of your golfers misses the cut, you’re out! (Almost 75% of the entries missed the cut in the Players, The Masters and PGA Championships so choose wisely!)

If the scores are tied at the end of Round 4, it will then be based on your lowest individual golfer.

E.g. if my golfers had the score -30 (-10, -10, -10) and Joe Bloggs had -30 (-15, -10, -5), Joe Bloggs would win as -15 would beat -10.

If both have the same lowest individual scorer, it would go to the 2nd lowest golfers etc.

Obviously if all 3 golfers have the same score, the pot will be split.  The 2022 Players Championship was the first split pot in 4 years, with both winners pocketing £950 each.

Rules

The deadline for entries to be submitted is 8.00pm on Wednesday 15th June 2022 due to the time it takes to process the entries.

The entry fee to be part of the competition is £10 which needs to be paid across by 10.00pm on Wednesday 15th June 2022, otherwise your entry will be excluded from the competition.

The bank details are as follows:

Mr C Ashton

Please leave the name you have used in your entry as the bank reference so we can pick up .

The winner takes all of the prize pot, unless it is a split pot as per “How LMS Works“.  The prize pot will be calculated on the following basis – the entry fees less our admin fee for managing and processing the tournament which will be capped at 10%.

If one of your golfers is withdrawn prior to teeing off, you will get your money back. If he withdraws after teeing off, you’re out with no refund.

Please note we will be doing a poll on Twitter after this tournament to see if people would prefer if 1st , 2nd and 3rd are paid out for future tournaments as a few people have asked about it. If there is a positive response, this will be introduced for The Open next month.
