2023 PGA Championship – Round 4

In Tournaments by Admin

After being in contention at The Masters but fading in the final round, Brooks Koepka held his nerve to secure the PGA Championship, his 5th major in his career! He finished two shots clear of Hovland and Scheffler who had a brilliant final round but it just wasn’t enough.

Our LMS leaderboard was also very close with only 3 shots separating 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Tom Mealand takes home the HUGE prize pot after picking Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Rose

1st – £5,500 – Tom Mealand

2nd – £1,480 – Jake Johnson

3rd – £380 – Sean Cooney

Shot of the day

There is only one shot possible for the shot of the day, Michael Block’s hole in one which didn’t even bounce! It’s been viewed on Twitter over 3.4 million times already!

A big thank you to everyone who entered our PGA Championship LMS, it’s great to see our prize pots continue to grow, please keep spreading the word about the competitions and hopefully next year we can get over 1,000 entries for each competition!

The next competition will be the US Open in 4 weeks (15th June 2023) to which we will be sending out the details on 11th June 2023. We had 315 entries (353 before withdrawals) for the US Open last year so we’re hoping to reach 650 entries this year, if possible, and have a record pot for that competition. However it would be great if we could replicate this tournaments entrants.

Due to our increasing numbers we are seeing the number of duplicate entries steadily increasing (for this tournament there was an example where 13 people had the same three golfers!) We will therefore be running another Twitter poll to see what everyone’s opinion is on introducing a tie breaker question to combat duplicate entries splitting the pot (we like people to win BIG from their tenner!).

The tie breaker question would be along the lines of what score will the winning golfer finish on. We would be grateful if everyone could take the time to vote on the Twitter poll which will go out on June 2nd, for the change to come into effect we would require the pecentage to be over 60% for the change and have a minimum of 300 votes on the poll.

Thanks again and hopefully see you all in 4 weeks!

Cheers,

Cole & Alex
