We’re half way through the PGA Championship and we have a three way tie at the top of the leaderboard. Hovland, Conners and Scheffler are all on -5 with scoring again proving tough. Only 9 players are under par and with not much separating all the players towards the top it’s going to be an interesting last two rounds.

In our LMS there is a very wide range of fortunes with Rhiannon Williams leading the way on -7 and Tom Hunt bringing up the rear on +32. An honourable mention goes to Patrick McCauley who narrowly survived the cut on +15 with all three golfers finishing +5!

Some popular picks missed the cut such as Jason Day (91), Gary Woodland (87), Rickie Fowler (70), Matthew Fitzpatrick (63), Si Woo Kim (58) and Cameron Young (46).

As a result of the cut, 582 entries are now out the competition which leaves 236 in the hunt for the £7,360 prize pot.

The top 10 after Round 2 is as follows:

3rd – Michael Dixon 4 -6 (-5, -1, 0)

3rd – Adam Lynch 5 -6 (-5, -1, 0)

5th – Tom Mealand 2 -6 (-3)

6th – Neil Hardy -4 (-5, -2, +3)

6th – Ryan Cooke B&S -4 (-5, -2, +3)

6th – Paul Whiteside 2 -4 (-5, -2, +3)

6th – Lewis Donnelly -4 (-5, -2, +3)

10th – Cathal McErlean 2 -4 (-5, 0, +1)

10th – Gary Read -4 (-5, 0, +1)

10th – Widnes Golf Club -4 (-5, 0, +1)

With not much separating the Top 10, it only takes one good or bad round to make a massive swing to our leaderboard so it’ll make an interesting finish!
