Scoring proved very tricky during Round 1 of the PGA Championship. Only 16 of the 154 field were under par which has made for some very interesting scores in our LMS. Bryson DeChambeau leads the way on -4 with Scheffler, Conners, Johnson and Cole only 1 shot behind him. Only 50 out of 818 LMS entries were under par, although if the scoring picks up then that will change very quickly. Congratulations go out to Chris Sadat and Mark Leather who unfortunately bring up the rear on +20 but they can have the satisfaction knowing that it’s the highest one round score we’ve had! The withdrawal replacement (WR) option came into play for 34 of the entrants due to a number of the entries on our original list not qualifying for the event. There were 4 entries who didn’t have the WR button ticked so they were refunded their entry fee. |

As a result, the total entries have reduced to 818 and therefore reducing the prize pot to £7,360 which will be split as follows: 1 – £5,500 2 – £1,480 3 – £380 Top 10After Round 1, the top 10 is as follows: 1st – Sean Cooper 1 -6 (-4, -3, +1) 1st – Miguel Gillam -6 (-4, -3, +1) 3rd – Anthony Holden -6 (-3) 4th – David Platt -5 (-3) 5th – Adam Lynch -5 (-2) 6th – Robert Heathcote -4 (-4) 7th – Zak Harvey -4 (-3, -2, +1) 7th – Kevin De Asha 2 -4 (-3, -2, +1) 9th – Tom Mealand 2 -3 (-4) 10th – Lewis Jones -3 (-3, -3, +3) 10th – Tom James 2 -3 (-3, -3, +3) The entries with Tyrrell Hatton (133), Jon Rahm (128), Aaron Wise (108), Jason Day (91), Rickie Fowler (70), Patrick Cantlay (65), Matthew Fitzpatrick (63) and Jordan Spieth (50) will all be sweating today as they all scored +3 or worse and have a battle on their hands to avoid missing the cut.
