We’re half way through The Masters, there were some big movers in Round 2 with Rory McIlroy shooting -5 on the back 9 to take him six shots clear at the top of the leaderboard. Both Tyrrel Hatton and Cameron Young had great rounds which took them into the top 10 although they’re still quite a way behind Rory.
There are 1,010 entries remaining in the hunt for the £19,450 prize pot after 1,151 were cut at the half way stage. We still have an outright leader, although the leaderboard has totally changed since Round 1! John now holds a one shot lead over the field and is currently on -21.
With 53% of the entries being cut at the half way, the most notable players who missed the cut were JJ Spaun – 110 (332), Bryson Dechambeau – 10 (285), Robert MacIntyre – 25 (153), Akshay Bhatia – 60 (138), Nicolai Højgaard – 70 (124), Daniel Berger – 125 (83), Min Woo Lee – 35 (78) and Cameron Smith – 90 (73).
