We’re half way through the The Players Championship and Wyndham Clark is 4 shots clear at the top having followed up his 1st first round -7 with another stunning round. Nick Taylor and Xander Schauffele are his closest rivals and are both on -10.
John Wainwright, Sam Gillespie and Phil Lewis lead the way in the LMS having picked two out of the top three golfers along with Scottie Scheffler. Cameron Davis’ fortunes didn’t improve however Phil is no longer taking the wooden spoon after Connor pipped him to the post by 1 shot finishing on +18.
Some popular picks missed the cut such as Will Zalatoris (116), Justin Rose (53), Justin Thomas (48), Cam Davis (43) and Erik van Rooyen (39).
As a result of the cut, 456 entries are now out the competition which leaves 309 in the hunt for the £6,900 prize pot.
