The majority of golfers have finished Round 1 at The Players Championship, it’s tight at the top with Schauffele, McIlroy and Clark all leading the way on -7.
There is also a three way split at the top of our LMS leaderboard too with John, Sam and Phil on -18 having all picked Scheffler, Taylor and Clark. A further 13 entries are on -17 with plenty of entries within striking distance.
Unfortunately one person who isn’t within striking distance is Paul who is on +10 having picked Cameron Davis who ended the day +7 and it would be a miracle if he makes it through the cut! (Sorry Paul!)
There were no withdrawals before teeing off so as a result the prize pot is still £6,900 which is split as follows:
1st – £5,150
2nd – £1,400
3rd – £350
Sadly for 17 entries, their hunt for the prize pot was over before it really began as Tom Kim pulled out meaning they are out of the competition.
