2025 The Open – Round 2

In Tournaments by Admin

We’re half way through The Open, there were some big movers in Round 2 with Scottie Scheffler carding a 64 to take him to the top of the leaderboard. Both Brian Harman and Matt Fitzpatrick had solid rounds which consolidated their position just behind Scottie.

For once the cut hasn’t been brutal, there wasn’t any really big names that missed the cut. 45% of the entries (833) remain in the hunt for the £16,650 prize pot, which could make for some interesting changes to the leaderboard across the final two rounds.

We now have a four way tie at the top of the leaderboard with Dale joining the previous leaders at the top. The rest of the top 10 are only a couple of shots behind so it could change very quickly!

With 1,018 people being cut at the half way, the most notable players who missed the cut were Ryan Fox – 80 (152), Marco Penge – 125 (131), Tom McKibbin – 140 (118), Adam Scott – 70 (106), Patrick Reed – 80 (72) and Jason Day – 80 (68).
