2023 The Open – Round 2

In Tournaments by Admin

We’re half way through the The Open and Brian Harman is 5 shots clear at the top. With a weekend of bad weather it could make a very interesting finish to the competition.

In our LMS there is a very wide range of fortunes with David Seddon leading the way on -17 and Michael Dixon 2 bringing up the rear on +28 after picking Scottie Scheffler +3, Dustin Johnson +13 and Denny McCarthy +12.

Some popular picks missed the cut such as Shane Lowry (117), Collin Morikawa (75), Dustin Johnson (75), Justin Rose (66), Tony Finau (46), Justin Thomas (44), Rasmus Hojgaard (43), Si Woo Kim (41) and Talor Gooch (40).

The entrants that had Scottie Scheffler (331), Robert MacIntyre (246), Cameron Smith (124), Tyrrell Hatton (111), Jon Rahm (95), Matt Fitzpatrick (92), Brooks Koepka (82) and Rickie Fowler (82) will all be breathing a sigh of relief as they narrowly made the cut meaning (unless one of their other golfers were cut) they’re still in with a chance of the prize pot.

As a result of the cut, 679 entries are now out the competition which leaves 610 in the hunt for the £11,600 prize pot.
