It didn’t take long for there to be drama in our first LMS of the year, the most popular pick Collin Morikawa injued his back after one hole which caused him to withdraw. Unfortunately for those people that picked him (276 entries!) they are out of the competition. This obviously wasn’t what we wanted to happen and I doubt it’ll happen again anytime soon!
After Round 1 of The Players Championship we have a five way tie at the top of the leaderboard. Maverick McNealy, Lee Hodges, Sepp Straka, Sahith Theegala and 500/1 pick Austin Smotherman, who only one person selected, all shot -5. There are three golfers who still need to play the final hole, Smotherman is one of them, so there might be a slight change to the leaderboard once they finish.
We have six entries on -11 at the top of our LMS leaderboard with two different combinations so they are 1st and 3rd currently. The Round 2 update could look very different so it will be interesting to see what happens!
At the other end of the table, Nathan probably won’t be challenging for the prize pot as he picked David Riley, who shot +12!
There were two entries which withdrew before the tournament started, this has affected 19 entries, of which 15 have withdrawal replacement. Both replacements are on -1 so I’m sure those entries will be happy! The other four entries which didn’t have withdrawal replacement ticked will be refunded.
As a result, the prize pot is now £9,475, which is split as follows:

2nd – £1,900
3rd – £475
